Creativity Week

Photo above is a photo made with a wood camera, pinhole camera is called exactly. A next-generation camera that is quite old because the pinhole camera is the first generation in the history of development of the modern camera. You may not believe, and still think that the image is created with a modern camera like this that is known now.

Therefore I want to share the story of the pinhole camera, because I think that is good for the development of creativity, especially for a child. While the children take a weekend away, we can introduce the so-called pinhole camera. Because you can introduce the basic science of physics, chemistry and art and creativity. So not a bad thing to teach children about creativity. Like when I create the image at the end of my days with friends in a place in the solo tour (central Java-Indonesia). I even have friends who ask for the photo in the print size for accessories in the house. But have not love me the request.

Well, the photographs below are a few illustrasi about making pinhole camera out of the cans and wood.

Simple is not it? You just set up cans, paper image (BW), chemistry, scissors, needle, and a black cat. Search tin with the appropriate paper size, and then make a precise hole diameter cans, use the tool support, and ready aluminum foil and use a needle hole and then paste in the hole of tin. The following steps to prepare darkroom, chemistry (there are 3 types, namely developer, fixer, stop bath), and the lamp.

Once all is ready, input images into the cans, paper check that has the emulsion facing hole and tins are close to safety. Looking for a simple object, place the cans in front of the camera form the corner and wait for a few seconds, this requires testing many times. Bring to room dark, input paper to the developer, fixer and stop bath sequentially, and see the results.

I am sure you are still confused with my explanation, so please you search about reference the dark room and the pinhole camera. Perform testing time and time again and discover the distinctive sensation you will be curious to know the results. I hope this is useful knowledge for your child and find science in the holiday week end.
